Donald Beshada is the CEO of Covalynt and a former litigator with more than two decades of experience. Based in New Jersey, Don began his legal career working in commercial litigation at a small plaintiff-side personal injury firm before forming a small partnership called Cohen & Beshada.
Within this partnership, he primarily practiced plaintiff-side employment litigation. He later moved to Gibbons P.C. to handle defense-side employment matters, and then to Drinker Biddle & Reath where he became a marketing and advertising lawyer defending class actions.
In the late 2000s, Don joined a California plaintiff’s firm, applying his defense background to consumer class actions in the dietary supplements and sports nutrition space. In 2010, he co-founded Beshada & Farnese, where he served as outside general counsel to several direct marketing companies. In this role, he noticed significant discrepancies in class action settlement claims, often seeing "claim rates" that defied logic. This led him to create technology to combat fraud, eventually collaborating with engineers to launch ClaimScore in 2023.
ClaimScore has since evolved into Covalynt, where Don leads a multidisciplinary team of software engineers and data scientists dedicated to solving complex data problems through products like DeepValidation and ClassResolution. Drawing on his experience representing both plaintiffs and defendants, he works with administrators and counsel to ensure that complex settlements are handled with evidentiary clarity and precision
